The thing that I will remember most about her is her happy and bright spirit. Whether we could understand what she was saying or not, she always lit up the room with her jokes, laugh and smile, and she did will be missed dearly ❤️

Grandma Manasco shared many of my mother and grandmother's best traits. Her love of life, her sense of humor and her appreciation for the sweeter things in life. Though I didn't get to see her often, I'm grateful for the ways she has influenced my family through the generations. I can only hope that some of her joyful personality lives on through me, as I know it does my mother and grandmother. You will be missed.

I will always refer to Katie, Liz and myself as, “The Three Musketeers.” We had the same routine that the three of us never veered from. We would have lunch at an agreed restaurant then we would shop at Kohl’s. Katie always bought a blouse or two and of course, she would never leave Kohl’s without buying a purse.  After shopping we would head to Liz’s house for a game of Chicken Foot or Skip Bo all the while Katie keeping us laughing with her witty sense of humor and funny stories. Such fun with Katie, I will miss her so much. Rest in piece Dear friend.

Grandma,
I was only able to visit you a few times when I was younger, but from what I remember you always had the sweetest laugh and a candy of some sort. I remember visiting you for one of the last times and saying “hi great grandma!” which you responded to with a laugh and a welcoming hello. From what I’m told, my mom gets a lot of her wonderful qualities from you and I am so grateful for that. I am blessed to have had you in my life.

Lots of great memories, we drowned a lot of worms, I remember swimming and bbqs at the house on Edward's, there was always music and good times, she was a lot of fun to be around.

Grandma, I have to echo all the sentiments written here by our family. Over the last few weeks the memories  have come flooding back, and I have remembered them all with fondness and laughter. I’m so glad I got to see you one last time in July. I’ll never forget you laughing at Cheryl and I as we tried to put together that darn cat condo! I can only imagine what you were thinking. 
You will be greatly missed. It makes this a bit easier knowing you and grandpa are together again, the way it should be. 
Until I see you again.

“Virgina Kathryn Manasco was my great grandma but I called her “big grandma.” I was not born into the family by blood, but big grandma loved me just like I was. She had a way of making me and every one around her feel special. My childhood has so many memories of her. I will never forget the way she lit up when any of her grandkids entered the room. Her laugh and way with words always left a presence in the room that was contagious. Big grandma also was very stylish. She always did her best to look beautiful with done up nails, hair, and jewelry. I loved that about her.  No matter how old she got, she lived life how she wanted. While not too many people know, big grandma was an influence for me when I was younger to start reading. She always had a book by Nora Roberts next to where she was sitting. I hope to pass that same love on to my son, her great great grandson. Big grandma, I can’t wait for the day when I get to hold your hands again and see your bright smile. I love you. My heart will miss you until the day I can see you again.”

I will miss my Great Grandma Manasco dearly. She was a wonderful woman and always showed me a tremendous amount of love. It was always a pleasure visiting with her when we would stay in Bakersfield and I always enjoyed hearing her stories and her humor. 

I didn't get to spend enough time with Katie.  My favorite memory is when Kathleen (named after grandma) and I brought our young children to Grandma & Grandpa's home in Lake Isabella.  They charmed their great grandkids with their infectious laughter and I felt their love there that day.  I don't know if I've ever seen a couple banter back and forth in the loving, playful way  they did.  I recognized that day that Kathleen got more than her name from Grandma Katie - she also inherited her positive outlook on life and ability to make difficult situations easier with laughter.  The legacy of their faith and joyful disposition lives on through their children and grandchildren.  I am grateful that Katie and Bill are together again.

Grandma,
I will never forget the fun times you gave me as a child.  Swimming in your pool, learning to ski and fish in your boat, sleepovers in your RV and waking up in the mornings to one of your signature dishes--biscuits and gravy.  Singing along with you to Charlie Pride and Jim Reeves, Easter egg hunts in your back yard, and Christmas Eves at Joe and Lorena's.   As I got older, visiting you in Lake Isabella was a must do any time I was in town.  I was endlessly entertained by your southern mannerisms and quick witted sense of humor.  
 I was always amazed at how nice you looked every time I visited...even when my visits were unexpected.  Your hair was always perfect, nails always polished, and you always wore jewelry that coordinated perfectly with whatever you were wearing that day.  I know that one of your favorite activities was shopping...a trait I did not inherit from you but I know that a large part of who I am does come from you and I am grateful for that.  
One of the memories I will cherish most is watching you and grandpa hold hands and laugh together.   After almost 60 years of marriage you never got tired of each other.  Sadly, you had to live without him for the last 15 years of your life.  You have always been a strong woman and you rose to the challenge but I know that by his side is where you have longed to be.  As you start this next phase of eternity together, know that you will be missed by a whole crew of people looking forward to one day getting to eat those biscuits and gravy again.  Until then, God be with you.

Grandma I'll miss watching Kevin Hart stand up and Major Payne with you. We always laughed at the same parts no matter how many times we  watched them. That was our thing.
I'll even miss taking you shopping[ never thought I'd say that]. When you'd pick up a purse, I'd say, you already have 20, the "surprised" look you gave me was priceless.

 I am lucky to have many fond memories of her with family get-togethers and holidays and I will remember how she always had a smile on her face and room for dessert! I will miss talking with you at your hair appointments.  Love your granddaughter In law.

Grandma, I'll always remember as a kid the countless hours we spent fishing, camping and playing games. You taught me how to play Domino's, Yatzee, Poker, Scrabble etc. You never let me win, I had to earn those victories. I'm positive that was your life lesson. Your sense of humor and story telling was second to none. You will be missed but never forgotten. Love you always 

So many memories of my Aunt Katy, but in the last 5 years,  the most Vivid was our trips to Las Vegas with my mom and your family. 
 And when you came to Pasadena for the Rose Parade in 1976, when my Navy duties took me there, it  will never be quite the same without your smile, and  your laughter.  You lived a full life, Rest In Peace, and spread your Angels Wings.
