Walter was born September 23, 1952, in South Bend, Indiana to Walter and Jeanetta Hubbard.
He was the oldest of 4 children.
He graduated from Riley High School in South Bend, Indiana and attended Art School in Chicago, Illinois. He later received his Associates Degree in Art. Walter retired from Pacific Bell as an engineer.
Wally (Walter’s nickname) was an amazing artist, specializing in oil paintings. To him art was about expression and represented his passion for life. He had a passion and love for music, painting and telling a good story. He was a gentle yet strong, kind, loving and honest man and most importantly – a doting dad and grandfather. He will be missed greatly by his family and everyone who knew him.
He is survived by his two children, Claudia and Markus Hubbard; bonus children Erik and Kimberly Klassen; one grandchild, Corry Polk; one sister, Babette Montgomery; brothers Rodney Hubbard and Galen Hubbard who revered to Wally as “his hero”; a number of nieces and nephews; and loving family and friends, Susi Klassen and the Oglesby Family.
