

Born on June 9, 1948, in Bakersfield, California, Wayne lived a life marked by dedication to his family, faith, and career.
Wayne is survived by his eternal and devoted wife of 60 years, Patrice Vaughn, who stood by his side through life's many adventures. He was preceded in death by his parents, Wayne Lee Vaughn Sr. and Evelyn Vaughn, as well as his sister, Sharon Vaughn, brother Joe Vaughn, and darling daughter Heidi Alisa Vaughn. He leaves behind his beloved sister, Pam Roberson, and his children: Wayne Vaughn III, Wendy Vaughn, Heather Barton, Jason Vaughn, and Hilleri Vaughn-Hardy. Wayne's legacy continues through his 21 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren, along with numerous in-laws, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
A man of many talents, Wayne was a successful land developer, general contractor, and entrepreneur. His professional achievements were matched by his personal passions, which included a deep love for his church, playing games with his family, golfing, traveling, and hosting family gatherings. Wayne's compassion, generosity, and vast knowledge were hallmarks of his character, leaving an indelible mark on all who knew him.
Wayne will be remembered fondly and missed dearly by his family and friends. His memory will live on in the hearts of those who loved him. A service to honor Wayne's life will be held on December 2nd at 10 a.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, located at 9900 White Oak Drive.
