My first out of town experience with this family, we watched Justin race at the Olympic Training Center! Wendell drove the whole way there and back as I soon realized he always did after many trips with them... many laughs and many good meals. I specifically remember Renee getting onto Justin about using her good decoration towels at home on this particular drive...& Wendell being like “they’re only towels! that’s what they’re for! ” hahaha men...(now living with justin, we protect the decoration towels for dear life)
Stuff was just stuff to Wendell .. from my point of view he didn’t really value things as much as he valued the happiness and moments with family.

Wendell was one of the nicest guys I’ve ever met . Wendell took us in as family from when we first got our kids in to racing , He would laugh at me and tell my kids what to do on the track because they wouldn’t listen to me “ I was there parent , who listens to there parents” . He was an an amazing friend and loved helping all of the kids and all of us . There will be a giant void in all of our lives and we will never forget him .. Love you Wendell . Ride in the heavens my friend , until we see you again !! ❤️✌🏼
