Dear Shirley, how fondly we remember Willie!!! He was a MIGHTY MAN in a humble Godly way. We just learned today Dec. 2, 2013 that Willie went to sleep in Jesus. We now live in Southern Illinois and work for 3ABN. We were in Portland, OR with Garland Blanton and wife Donna. It came up that Garland and Willie went to Academy together. We were so shocked about Willie. Our love and prayers are with you Shirley!!! God bless you. Roy and Earlenne Hunt

He was a man of God who spoke few words but his actions did the talking for him. Shirley, may God bless and keep you during this time of sadness and grief. I was privileged to know both of you.

Bro. Rupert was the father of my first and dearest friend at Southside, Donna Rupert. I saw him as a quiet person but with a cool and down to earth personality. I always admired him as “Donna's father” and loved spending the night over their home and playing on their ranch. As a young teenager, I look back at the many pathfinder trips I went on under Bro. Rupert's leadership and how much fun I always had every year. I respected his service to the church as deacon but also noticed him take on an even quieter personality after Donna's passing and after acquiring his illness. No matter what, he always remembered me when I spoke to him and I loved to reminisce about the good days at his house which always brought a smile to his face. I saw Bro. Rupert as one of the respected pillars in our church who dedicated his life to his faith and family and now he is resting in peace. I have always had a deep respect for the Rupert family and always will and I now ask God to be with them all during this difficult time. The Robinson-Montalvo-Stowe families love all of you and will keep you in prayer!

Willie was a great friend and one of the kindest persons I have ever met. We worked together for the Kern County fire Dept., as well as on our homes and cattle ventures. We got to share a lot of good times. He will be greatly missed but, not forgotten.

I worked with Willie at the Kern County Fire Dept. for many years. Willie was a great guy, he never said anything but good about anyone. When any job needed to be done, Willie was always there to help or do it himself. I never met a nicer person than Willie Ruppert, he will be dearly missed by his family and dear friends.
