

Wynona was born in Ponca City, OK in 1924, Passed away in Bakersfield December 20th, 2018. Wynona was a warm, compassionate and vibrant woman who always went out of her way to help others. She was an independent woman and lived life on her own terms. She moved to California at the age of one with her family and lived all her life in Bakersfield. She was married to Eugene Cave and had a family of her own. Wynona was in the first graduating class at East Bakersfield high school. She received a degree from Fresno state to become a teacher.
Wynona is survived by her sister Rita Elision, her children Betty McWhorter, Ronnie Cave wife Shelly Cave, Jessie Cave wife Linda Cave, and Gerard Cave wife Elizabeth Cave. Along with her many grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Family friend Delbert Littrell.
She loved to fly in the plane with her husband seeing the sites from above. She was always smart and loved helping her fellow classmates. She was the kind of women who always stood up for herself. She was never the women that had traditional values but learnt the skills that a woman of her era-should, but always made her own path in life. For Wynona we will always remember her as brave, smart, and beautiful. A one of a kind independent woman who defied what a woman should do but did what she thought was right.
