Aurelia Ribera

Born in Hanover, NM, she was the daughter of Prudencio and Florentina Tellez. She was a member of Mt. St. Joseph’s Catholic Church. She lived a simple but fulfilling life. She had a great sense of humor (“Praise the Lord“) and always had a comeback you would never forget. Her love of family and friends was her greatest attribute. All her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren are a testament to that. Mom’s life was centered around her family, faith, with devotion to The Sacred Heart.

She is survived by seven children: Ralph Ribera, Veronica McClintock (William), Elizabeth Esquivel, Adolfo Ribera (Madra), William Ribera, Tina Martin (Michael), and Carlos Ribera (Lora); 23 grandchildren, 36 great grandchildren, three great-great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her spouse Adolfo, daughter Frances Herrera, grandson Joe-Joe Herrera, son-in-law Felix Esquivel, daughter-in-law Theresa Ribera, granddaughter Sarah Ribera, three sisters – Librada Becerra, Jessie Duarte, Polly Esparaza, and brother Jose Louis Tellez.

Viewing for family will be at Mead’s Mortuary, 36930 Irwin Road, Barstow, CA on Monday, April 10 from 4-5:30 p.m., with the rosary beginning at 6:00 p.m.

Funeral mass will be on Tuesday, April 11 at 10:00 a.m. at Mt. St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, 505 E. Mt. View Street, Barstow, with internment at Mt. View Cemetery, 37067 Irwin Road, Barstow.
