Betty J. Herrera

On Sunday, January 15th, Betty Jean Herrera, loving mother and wife, passed away (due to natural causes) peacefully surrounded by her family. Betty was born and raised in Pasadena California. She was an avid ski instructor and loved adventures. Betty met her beloved husband, Francisco Julian Herrera, in Bishop California. In true Betty fashion, she threw an ice cube and hit Frank right between the eyes. Since then, they have been married for 51 years. Betty was a passionate and devoted teacher. She started as a preschool teacher and then spent many years as an instructional aide for special education students. Betty wore her heart on her sleeve and would do anything for anyone. She touched many lives and will be remembered as the woman with a heart of gold. Betty was expecting to meet her first great grandbaby this February.
