Charles Clayton Matthiesen was born on January 2, 1938, in Hope, North Dakota to Herbert and Zelda Matthiesen. He passed away on January 30, 2026, at the age of 88. Charles was a resident of Hinkley, California.

He is survived by his wife Matsue Matthiesen.
