OBITUARY

David Reed

May 16, 1939July 27, 2019

On Saturday July 27th 2019, David Reed passed away at the age of 80. David Reed was born in Tulsa Oklahoma May 16th 1939 to his father Bethel Reed and mother Leland Lovelace Reed. David proudly served in both the United States Air force and the US Army finally achieving the rank of Captain in the Department of the Army. David served in wartime durin Vietnam. Through his vast military career David earned numerous commendations such as: Bronze star, Army Commendation Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal, National Defense Service Medal, and the Air Medal to name a few. David enjoyed traveling, playing the piano, and dancing. While David has traveled and lived around the world he finally settled down and called the city of Barstow California home. David was a God fearing Baptist until he was called home by his Lord and savior Jesus Christ. For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. Services will be held August 23rd at Mead Mortuary and he will be laid to rest at Riverside National Cemetery.

Your great sense of humor and your smile will surely be missed. I will always remember you in Aerobics when you would always say “Is it over yet” or you would whisper to others “is she watching us” lol. Take care my friend and Rest In Peace.
