Donald John Vasquez

He grew up in Barstow and made it his home. Donald graduated from Barstow High School with the class of 1947. Employed by the Department of Defense, he worked at the Marine Corps Base in Barstow until his retirement in April 1984. He also had a part-time job as a Service Attendant at Wood's Richfield Station for many years. Donald enjoyed camping, especially at the beach, and fishing. He was a jack of all trades and a master of one, he was a mechanic and always kept his automobiles in good running condition. He loved his Budweiser beer and enjoyed it daily.

Donald was a life-long member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus.

A Mass will be celebrated on June 28, 2023, at 11 a.m., St. Joseph's Catholic Church, 505 E. Mountain View, Barstow, California. A committal service will follow at Mt. View Memorial Park, 37067 Irwin Rd., Barstow, California. A reception will follow at St. Joseph's Noonan Hall, 505 E. Mountain View, Barstow, California.
