Edward ‘Eddie’ Joe Ribera, age 85, of Barstow, California passed away on Wednesday, December 1, 2021 in his home surrounded by family. Eddie was born on July 25, 1936 to Felicita Garcia Ribera and Matias Ribera in the small village of El Pueblo, New Mexico. Eddie is the youngest male child with four older brothers and five sisters: Hilario, Mary, Adolfo, Frances, Trinidad, Eloisa, Joe, Piedad, and Theresa.
Eddie was preceded in death by his parents; Felicita Garcia Ribera and Matias Ribera and his eight older siblings. Eddie is survived by his younger sister Theresa Ribera and also his life partner of 65 years, Patsy Ribera, their children; Eddie Ribera Jr., Darlene Sanchez (Antonio ‘Nino), Sandi Ribera Thomas and Ronnie Ribera (Debbie), Grandchildren; Casey, Jessica, Ruben, Candice, Chad, Amy, Leah and Olivia, eight great grand-children; Genesis, Giselle, Genevieve, Autumn, Addison, Gianna, Lily and Maddux, and two nephews Paul Vasquez (LeeAnne) and Felix Vasquez (Julia).
A rosary service will be held for Eddie Ribera at Saint Joseph Catholic Church at 505 E Mountain View St, Barstow, CA 92311 on Friday, December 17, 2021 at 10:00 am with memorial services to follow at 11:00am. Following the memorial services, Eddie will be laid to rest at Mountain View Memorial Park in Barstow, CA.
A reception will follow the Committal Services at Noonan Hall, Saint Joseph Catholic Church.
