Escolastica G Baca

Escolastica "Collie" Baca, was called home to be with the Lord on August 17, 2015, she was 79 and was born in La Joya, NM on September 17, 1935. She was a resident of Barstow since 1955. Early in her career, she was employed at Del Taco, later worked at Western Auto, and retired from MCLB Nebo in 1995. Collie was a long time member of St. Joseph's Church and devoted much of her life to volunteer work within the community, from Martha's Meals, Desert Manna, soup kitchen and the rectory office. She truly was an "Earth Angel", as she always had a kind word & beautiful smile, and gave so much to so many. Her life and her actions radiated love, compassion, and faith. She is survived by her husband of 63 years Florenio R. Baca; her children Gilbert, Tracy Baca, Sally Stapp (Baca), Evelyn Bensie (Baca); her grandchildren Larry, Veronica and Brandy, Rob and Lindsay, Arcie, and Erica, Alan and Adrian and Courtney, Jeff and Ryan and Matthew; her great-grandchildren Brooklyn and Nathan, Christian. Nicholas, Noah, Dylan. The Rosary will be held at St. Joseph's on Monday August 31st at 7:00 pm and Services on Tuesday September 1st at 10:00 am at St. Joseph's.
