Jacqueline Aimee Kindler (Jackie), passed away in her home on November 28, 2018. She was 92 years young. She was born on March 22, 1926 in France, graduated from Berkley high school in 1944, and married Meryl D. Kindler in 1949. She arrived in Barstow as a young Marine wife in 1957 and remained a resident for 61 years.
Jackie was a loving wife and mother who devoted her time to raising her children. She later went to work for Ellis Insurance. She served at the Catholic Chapel on the Marine Base teaching Catholicism and Mt. St. Joseph’s as part of Martha’s Meals. She was a member of the Eagles and Moose Lodges and enjoyed many years on bowling leagues.
Jackie is preceded in death by her husband Meryl D. Kindler, son Gary Kindler, daughter-in-law Sue Kindler, granddaughter Susie Bailey, brothers John (Sara, Pauline) and Albert (Marion) Sheridan and sister Ann (Don) Ford. She is survived by her son Matthew Kindler, daughters Yvonne Jett, Kathy Kindler, Mary Keith (Kelly), 14 grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren and 15 great, great grandchildren.
In sharing the news of our mother’s passing, time and time again we were told “I loved your mother”. Love was her gift to this life and we as her children are the greatest recipient’s.
A life well loved, is a life well lived.
