Jose Frank Mesa, 84 and Connie Baca Mesa, 84, of Barstow, California entered eternal life together hand in hand on Sunday, July 12, 2020. Jose was born December 14, 1935 in Valencia County, New Mexico to Herman and Virginia Mesa. Connie was born March 13, 1936 in Valencia County, New Mexico to George and Sarah Baca. They met as children and were married at the ages of 14 and 15 years old. They were married for 68 years. Jose worked for Santa Fe Railroad as a supervisor for 42 years and Connie was a homemaker. They had 9 children, 33 grandchildren, 88 great grandchildren, and 38 great-great grandchildren. They are survived by their children, their sons Rudy, Alex, Bobby, Tony, and Larry, and their daughters Virginia, Elsie, and Angie and their honorary children/nephew and niece Robert and Sandra Baca. They were preceded in death by their brothers and sisters, their two loving sons George and Richard Mesa, their granddaughter Josie Cardona, and great-great grandson Matteo Zener Pena. We were all very blessed to see such a beautiful love story take place in our lives.They were loved dearly and will be greatly missed by many. Their memories will live on through their loving family and friends. This is not a goodbye it is just a see you later, Until we see you again.

A visitation will occur Monday, July 20, 2020 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, 36930 Irwin Rd, Barstow, California 92311. A visitation and prayer ceremony will occur Tuesday, July 21, 2020 from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM, 36930 Irwin Rd, Barstow, California 92311. A commitial service will occur Tuesday, July 21, 2020 at 11:00 AM at Mt View Memorial Park, 37067 Irwin Rd, Barstow, California 92311.
