Husband to late wife Maria Santiago.
Survived by his four daughters and their husbands: Nancy (Pablo Rivera), Diane (Joshua Ehresman), Jeanette (Tracy Hardisty), and Christina. Survived by his grandchildren Isaiah and Zachariah Rivera, and Xavier Ehresman (Wife, Rachel); and his great-grandchildren Sophie and Isabelle Ehresman.
Moved to Chicago where he met his late wife, Maria, and had four daughters. Juan was known by his family as “Tito”. He enjoyed fishing, salsa dancing, music, dominoes, computer games and cheering loudly for his favorite sports team, the Chicago Cubs and Chicago Bears. Juan had a love for electronics and enjoyed learning how computers functioned by assembling and disassembling them. He also enjoyed using his CB radio to chat with his fellow friends, where he nicknamed himself Zapatito. Juan had a spirited nature where he enjoyed making people laugh with his silly antics, scaring people on Halloween, and telling stories about ghosts and aliens. Juan was a skilled cab driver, knowing his way through the streets of Chicago better than any driving app. He took pride in his vehicles and spread cheer by decorating his cab during the holidays for all his passengers. Juan was able to spend his last years with his daughter and son-in-law, and his wonderful dog Lilette, in whom he loved and cherished, at Barstow, CA. Juan was loved and will be dearly missed.
In lieu of flowers, we ask for prayers during this time, and for all to remember to love one another in life, through our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
