

Michelle Lynn Kennedy of Barstow, California is known lovingly as Shelly, to those who know and love her. Shelly was born in Lynwood, California, a suburb of Los Angeles. Her mother is LaDonna Akin, her father is James Kennedy, but she was born to a family who loves her, and at the head of that family is her loving grandparents, Gene and Joyce Buskirk. From 1976 to 1997, she lived in Maywood, California, with her grandparents. She attended Pacific Blvd school until coming to Barstow in 1997 where she would live the rest of her days.
Shelly is known for her strength for overcoming any trial that came her way. She never knew how to give up. She loved life and family. She persevered through tough times and was joyful in good times. Shelly always like music. She loved dancing when she was younger. She loved her toy friends that played music and those who didn't. She also loved animals, even hummingbirds.
Shelly is preceded in death by her grandpa, Gene Buskirk, grandparents Bud and Joyce Kennedy, her uncle David Still and several close friends and cousins.
Shelly leaves behind for now her grandma Joyce Buskirk, her mom LaDonna Akin, her brother Michael Kennedy, her sister Marilyn Voyles, her uncles Lloyd Still, Kenneth Still, Jerry Wright, Wayne Kennedy, her aunts Barbara Rodriguez, Joann Kennedy, Lucy Blake, her friend Albert Lara. She also leaves behind several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
