Robert "Mouse" Villegas, 65, of Barstow, died after suffering from a longtime illness. His sufferings are finally over and he's back in the arms of his mother! He was born a twin in San Pedro, CA. His parents moved their family to Barstow in 1952. Robert played little league baseball. He started playing the guitar at 10 years old. As a band member, they played for special occasions and he played in the living rooms entertaining family and friends. He was a great wrestler on the high school team where he received many trophies. Robert graduated from John F. Kennedy High School in June, 1970. One of his favorite pastimes was fresh water fishing and making his own lures. His electrician career was well known in Barstow. Robert is survived by his father, Frank Villegas Sr., and 7 siblings, Frank Jr., his twin-Raymond, Joseph, and Teresa Villegas. Evelyn Rodriguez (Alex), Ruth Nevarez (Kenneth), and Christina Moreno (Diego); many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Robert was preceded in death by his mother, Celia Mary Villegas.
Memorial Services are Saturday, November 5 at Mead Mortuary, 36930 Irwin Rd., Barstow. Doors open at 10:00 a.m., services start at 11:00 a.m. Lunch to follow. Burial is at a later date. www.meadcares.com
