William Robert “Robby” Schooler
October 18, 1955 – June 28, 2026
William Robert “Robby” Schooler was born on October 18, 1955, in San Diego, California, to William and Shirley Schooler. On June 28, 2026, Robby went home to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
Robby dedicated more than three decades of service to the Marine Corps Logistics Base Barstow, where he worked as a civilian Marine from 1988 until his retirement in 2011 as a Planner. He was known for his strong work ethic, integrity, and commitment to serving others.
On June 16, 1986, Robby married the love of his life, Sharon. Together they built a life centered on faith, love, and family. Just days before his passing, they celebrated an incredible 40 years of marriage—a beautiful testament to a love that remained steadfast through every season of life.
Robby was the proud father of five daughters and one son. His family continued to grow, blessing him with 15 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren, each of whom held a special place in his heart.
Robby loved the outdoors and cherished every opportunity to go camping and fishing. Bass and crappie were his favorites, but truthfully, he never met a fish he couldn’t catch. He also loved playing softball, was an incredibly talented drummer, and treasured every moment spent with his family. Whether gathered around a campfire, on the lake, or simply together at home, those moments brought him his greatest joy.
Above all else, Robby’s greatest passion was sharing the love of Jesus Christ. Whether with family, friends, or someone he had just met, he wanted everyone to know the hope, grace, and salvation found in Christ. He didn’t just talk about his faith—he lived it every day.
Robby was preceded in death by his parents, William and Shirley Schooler; his brother, Lanny Schooler; and his beloved daughter, Lani Yates.
He is survived by his devoted wife of 40 years, Sharon Schooler; his son-in-love, Ben Yates, and grandchildren Kameron and Emma; his daughter, Summer Crank, and grandchildren Destany (Jesus), Brilyn, and Joslin, along with eight great-grandchildren; his daughter, Harmony Baker, and son-in-love, Grady Baker, and grandchildren Alora and Alexa, along with two great-grandchildren; his daughter, Leah Wells, and son-in-love, Terrence Wells, and grandchildren Kaylea (Sebastian), Joseph, and Akira, along with two great-grandchildren; his son, Isaac Schooler, and daughter-in-love, Denise Schooler, and grandchildren Aaiden and Aaron; his daughter, Shiian Johns, and son-in-love, Jesse Johns, and grandchildren Jasmine, Lillyana and Jayden; his brother, Jimmy Schooler, and sister-in-law, Carol Schooler; his sister, Becky Slack; as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends whose lives were forever touched by his love and faith.
While Robby’s presence will be deeply missed, his family finds peace in knowing that he is whole, healed, and rejoicing in the presence of his Savior. His legacy lives on through the family he loved so dearly, the countless lives he touched, and the faith in Jesus Christ that he faithfully shared with everyone he met.
