Dennis Allen Reed

Dennis was born on February 17, 1953, in Tulsa, Oklahoma to Olin C and Lezola(Martin) Reed.

Dennis was raised and went to school in Sand Springs, Oklahoma, while at home Dennis worked for years as a paperboy for Tulsa Tribune.

On Dennis's 17th birthday he stepped off the bus into the USMC at Camp Pendleton. He served proudly and was medically discharged after falling down a 95-foot cliff in Panama while in jungle training. Due to this fall he had to have seven back surgeries, three leg surgeries and two hip surgeries.

On December 31, 1971, he married his girlfriend, Freida Krumsiek and at the time of his death they had been married 54 & 1/2 years.

During the marriage there were two boys, Olin E and Travis W Reed. Dennis always put family first. As a family they all went camping, fishing and hunting.

After their son, Travis's passing Dennis and Freida traveled all over the USA on motorcycles. They spent many nights camping under the stars.

Dennis was proceeded in death by his son Travis, his parents, his brother, David, sister Jan Mills, and his in-laws Earl and Pauline Krumsiek, and his sister-in-law and buddy Judy Morton.

Dennis is survived by his wife; Frieda, son; Olin, grandsons; Wesley A, of the home, Braxton W of San Marcos, and Grayson J of North Island, California (Navy) and his only surviving sibling, Kathy Tallent of Cleveland, Oklahoma.

Per his request there will be no funeral. At a later date his family will return his ashes to Oklahoma.

Dennis will be greatly missed and loved.
