Klaas Rudolf Pauli

Born on May 14, 1957, in Delft, The Netherlands, he immigrated to Canada in 1958 as a young boy alongside his parents and five siblings, living in Nova Scotia and Ontario. He spent much of his childhood outdoors, fishing, exploring, fixing cars and bikes, and riding dirt bikes.

Then, he chose to immigrate again, this time with his own young family, wife, and three children to the United States in 2001, where he dedicated himself to his career with Cramaro Tarps, where he later retired. Moving from location to location, bringing his family along with him, he built a life and legacy that will long be remembered. He fondly talked about the friends he made along the way. Klaas was always available to help anyone and that spirit carried him through, both in business and in life.

Klaas was the beloved father to Tyler, Sariena (Russell), and Allie (Eric); and treasured Opa to 6 grandchildren Addison, Maverick, Everly, and Seraphina and Zander and Julian.

Throughout his life, Klaas was known for his sharp mind and unwavering work ethic. A master machinist by trade, he had a love of learning and sharing his knowledge, as well as a remarkable ability to invent, build, and create something from almost nothing.

He found great joy in fixing things, working on cars and motorcycles, playing his guitar and piano, computer games, puzzles, and tending to his many fruit trees and various gardens. Above all, he will be remembered as a master storyteller with a quick wit and good humor, known for his wonderfully goofy spirit and his ability to strike up a (sometimes incredibly long) conversation with anyone.

He was welcomed into eternity by his beloved brother, Jan (John) Pauli, and his parents, Willem and Ariena Pauli.

He is survived by his beloved siblings Maria Lackey, Gladys McMorrow, Wendy Milmine, and Michael, along with many cherished nieces and nephews. Uncle Klaas, Brother, Opa, Dad; simply titles on the surface, but millions of memories within them.

His ashes will be lovingly scattered across the United States, allowing him to take the retirement journey he had always hoped to make. A private family ceremony will take place to honor Klaas’s life.
