Sandra Kay (Bostick) Stark, 79, of Red Rock, Texas, passed away peacefully at home on April 8, 2026, surrounded by her loving family. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and cherished friend to many.
Sandra was born the youngest of three children to Alfred and Edna Mae Bostick on November 26, 1946, in Elkhart, Texas. She grew up in a small family, and after meeting her husband, Donnie Stark, she created her own big family. Married in December 1965, they recently celebrated 60 years of marriage this past December. Together, they went on to have five children: Dondra, Crystal, Jason, Adam, and Hope.
Her home was always filled with noise, laughter, and love. Sandra found her greatest joy in caring for her family. She was the kind of woman who made everyone feel welcome through a warm meal, a listening ear, or simply her presence. She loved books, especially cookbooks, and was always finding new recipes to share with those she loved. Time in her kitchen was one of the many ways she showed her love, bringing people together over food and conversation.
She treasured time spent with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, and took pride in watching her family grow through the years. She had a strong, steady spirit and a heart full of kindness, always putting others before herself. A faithful follower of Jesus, Sandra loved Christ deeply and lived out her faith in her daily life. Her strength, compassion, and unwavering love left a lasting impression on everyone who knew her.
She is survived by her beloved husband, Donnie Stark; her children, Dondra Carroll Carlson (Shiloh), Crystal Stark, Adam Stark (Kim), and Hope Brimm (William); her grandchildren, Marcus Carroll (Ashley), Shane Carroll, Aaron Stark (Dani), Kodi Norsworthy (Ethan), Taylor Carroll, Corey Stark (Haley), Justin Stark, Ashlea Carroll, Ethan Brimm (Devin), Kaylee Brimm, Cole Carlson, Shane Carlson and Emily Stark; and her great-grandchildren, Novalee, Gabriel, Keira, Scarlett, Bonnie, Kallen, Bailey, Aiden, Delilah, Atlas, Edith, Kinslee, Brantley, Corey Jr., Kelsey, Charlotte, and soon-to-be Oaklynn, Cordelia, and Vivian, with many more to come. She is also survived by her siblings: her sister, Linda Ray (Don), and her brother, Bill Bostick (Peggy), as well as numerous extended family members and dear friends.
Sandra was preceded in death by her parents, Alfred and Edna Mae Bostick; her son, Jason Stark; her son-in-law, Mark Carroll; her grandson, Tyler Carroll; and her great-grandson, Thatcher Stark.
A visitation will be held Sunday, April 12, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Bastrop Providence Funeral Home, with services at 1:00 p.m. Burial at the family cemetery following the service.
