He was in the US Air Force and had a Graduate Degree in Educational Psychology Fall 1976, Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi 1975, Bachelor of Arts in Psychology 1974, National Honor Society in Psychology December 1974, Phi Beta Kappa Spring 1974 in recognition of high attainments in liberal scholarship at the University of Texas at Austin. His wishes were to be cremated and interred in Plainview, Texas near his Father and younger Brother.
He is survived by his Daughter and her Husband, Amber & Andy Cole; Grandchildren, Andrew Cole, Analise Cole, Andrea Alexander, and Melissa Schmidt; Great Grandchildren, Lily, Allison, Tyler, and John; his Brother, Elliott Hollingsworth; Nephews, Mark, Brent, and Stan Hollingsworth.
