With heavy hearts and endless love, we announce the passing of Travis Leigh Rivas, lovingly known as T-Bird, who entered eternal rest on May 20, 2026, at the age of 27.
Travis was born on November 3, 1998, in Austin, Texas, Travis County, and was raised in Bastrop County, where he spent much of his life surrounded by family, friends, and the community he loved. Travis was reunited in Heaven with his beloved mother, Rebecca Rivas, and father, Robert Rivas. Travis is survived by his devoted big sister, Jessica Killion; his cherished nephew, Malachi Battle; his beloved nieces, Tessica Battle and Harley Battle; his loving girlfriend, Hanna Kortis; and the entire Rivas and Elton families, along with countless friends whose lives were touched by his kindness, laughter, and adventurous spirit. Those who knew Travis knew a man who lived life to the fullest. He had a heart that was larger than life, a smile that could light up any room, and a way of making everyone feel welcome. Whether he was spending time with family and friends, enjoying the outdoors, or simply sharing a laugh, Travis brought joy wherever he went. He will be remembered for his free spirit, his loyalty, his courage, and the love he gave so freely to those around him. Though his time with us was far too short, the memories he leaves behind will live on forever in the hearts of all who loved him. His legacy is one of love, laughter, adventure, and living life without fear.
