Avid fisherman, hunter, foodie, and rock hound, his quiet, inscrutable humor will be missed. His leaves behind many friends he embraced over the years.
Born in Austin, Texas, he was preceded in death by his mother Mildred 'Millie' (Marik) Thompson. His father William Van Thompson jr. remains to mourn his passing. Also still living is his brother Richard MacMullen and his family: Subin, Mali and Thomas.
His wife Karen Hall-Thompson, son William 'Will' Van Thompson IV, along with his daughter Victoria French Thompson and her husband Patric Shane Beard also abide in the quiet vacuum Van leaves.
