

Victor Molina Jr, born on Jun 12,1937 (76) went to his heavenly home on Friday, June 28, 2013. He was born to Victor Molina Sr. and Felicitas Lerma Molina in Baytown, TX. A lifelong resident of Baytown he was loved by a multitude of people, once a person met him there was no forgetting him. He loved life and lived it to the fullest, loved to listen to his music sitting on his porch and having his friends stop and visit with him. In his lifetime he had quite a few achievements, while serving in the United States Air Force, he was a member of the track team. He was a participant in the Germany Sports District 1958 Championships at Giebelstadt.in the mile and three mile run. A second place performer in the three mile run he also participated in the USAFE Track and Field competition at Fountain Bleau, France. Track was not the only sport he was involved in while in the military, he was a boxer in the welterweight and light middleweights division class. His love for sports did not end when he returned to civilian life, while employed for Exxon Shipping (Esso, way back then) he was a lifeboat crew member of the 23rd International Lifeboat Race in New York Harbor on May 24, 1962. In this race they pulled a come from behind victory, marking the first U.S. victory since 1956. This victory was one of his proudest accomplishments, but the telegram Vic received from PRESIDENT JOHN F. KENNEDY was an even prouder moment.
Victor is preceded in death by his parents, sisters Lydia M. Martinez, Sylvia M. Martinez, Angelina Lufburrow, and Dora Martinez and one brother Porfirio Garcia. He is survived by his loving wife of 48 years Lupe Molina, children Cindy Molina, Sylvia Molina, Victor Molina111 and wife Lisa Molina. He is also survived by his beloved grandchildren, the love of his life Tristan Mundell, Reese Garcia and Isabella Molina. Also surviving him is sister Stella M. Martinez and Sulema Reyes and husband Paul. A very special sister-in-law, Carolina Renteria. Also surviving him are numerous nieces and nephews, two that he considered more like his children than niece and nephew, Juanita M. Polo and Marco Polo.
Visitation will be at Crespo & Jirrels Sunday June 30, 2013 from 3:00 -8:00 p.m. with a rosary beginning at 7:00 p.m.. Mass of Christian burial will be on Monday, July1, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. , St. Joseph Catholic Church, Baytown, TX. Burial will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery, Baytown, TX
Serving as pall bearers will be Sylvia Molina, Gabriel Lopez, Ezra Perez, Robert Renteria Jr., Paul Reyes Jr. and Max Mannon. Honorary pall bearers are Tristan Mundell, Paul Reyes Sr., Gus Flores, Stephen Perez, Kevin Perez and Clay Hargrove.
