Adeline Mary Sirotnak

April 9, 1921June 8, 2018

Adeline (Lil) Mary Sirotnak, 97, passed away in her daughters arms, on Friday June 8, 2018 in Eagle Point, OR. Lil was born in New Britain, CT. and graduated from New Britain High School in 1939.

Lil is preceded in death by the love of her life and husband for over 61 years Anthony (Tony) Sirotnak, her sisters Jean Sgroi and Nancy Salonia.

She is survived by her daughter, Carol and son-in-law Ralph Sartain of Eagle Point, OR.; son Tom and daughter-in-law Virginia Sirotnak of Banning, CA.; her brother Jimmy Birritta of New Britain, CT.; sisters Josie and brother-in-law John D’Angelo of Southington, CT,; Janice Wilson of New Britain, CT.; 5 Grandchildren and their spouses Ralph (Eddie) Sartain and wife Suzanne, Michelle Sartain and her husband David Lynders, Lisa Sartain Parara; Michael Sirotnak and Melissa Sirotnak; 13 Great-grandchildren; 3 Great-great-grandchildren; One step Grand daughter, and her mother Maria Sirotnak and two step great Grandsons. Lastly, her devoted cat, Princess, who never left her side in her final days.

Lil followed Tony to California leaving behind all her close knit Italian family, visiting religiously over her long and beautiful life, which of course included many family gatherings of her famous pasta, pizza, lasagna and Italian vegetables.

She traveled even into her 90s, as far away as Italy with her sister Josie; to the Grand Canyon with nieces Marion and Roseanne and Jackie a special friend.

Three years ago she moved to Oregon to live with her daughter and son-in-law Ralph. One morning over breakfast (which consisted of a muffin with lots of peanut butter and jelly and a cup of coffee with lots of whip cream) she mentioned that she always had wanted to drive across the United States. That’s all that needed to be said and Ralph made it a reality, surprising all her family in Connecticut.

In the past few weeks we were all blessed by visits from her son Tom and daughter-in-law Virginia; granddaughter Michelle; sister Josie and nieces Marion and Roseanne in addition to hours, if not nights spent by her side by her daughter and son-in-law; granddaughters Lisa and Melissa and Suzanne; grandson Ralph and again sister Josie and niece Marion making more lifetime memories with many hugs and kisses. A visitation is scheduled for Friday, June 15, 2018 at 9:00am with a funeral service to follow at 10:00am both at Weaver Mortuary, 1177 Beaumont Avenue, Beaumont, CA 92223. Interment will follow at 11:00am at Mountain View Cemetery in Beaumont. In lieu of flowers please donate to St. Jude Hospital in her memory at St. Jude Children's Research Hospital

I cherish the trip I took with my cousins roseann and marion and aunt lil a few years ago. we visited at lils home and then took a road trip to LasVegas and Grand Canyon.aunt Lil told us funny stories and made us laugh.she enjoyed our happy hours.she never missed a beat.she and Marion went on to the casinos while Roseann and I retired to the room.she was fun to spend time with. another memory was learning how to roast peppers.she was a good cook. I feel fortunate to have known Lil. She was a special made me happy to know she was surrounded by her loving family when she passed from this world to join her heavenly family.Rest in peace Aunt Lil until we meet again. love Jackie
