

Billy Joe Griffin, age 95, passed away peacefully on November 20, 2025, in Warsaw, Indiana. Though he spent his final years in the Midwest, Billy Joe lived the majority of his life in California, where he built his family, his ministry, and a legacy of unwavering faith.
Billy Joe was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Esther Charlene Griffin, his daughter Debra Grein and his grandson James Page. He is survived by his daughter Diana Taylor and his son Daniel Griffin; his grandchildren Wendy, Christy, James, John, Pamela, and Ronald; as well as many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren who will continue to carry forward his love and influence.
For 50 years, Billy Joe faithfully served as a pastor with the Assembly of God ministries. His life’s work was rooted in compassion, service, and a deep desire to share God’s love. He was known for his kindness, his humor, his warmth, and the genuine care he showed to everyone he encountered. To know Billy Joe was to feel welcomed, valued, and loved.
A celebration of his life will be held on December 8, 2025, at Faith Chapel in Mentone, California.
Billy Joe’s legacy of faith, love, and joyful service will remain in the hearts of all who knew him.
