I'm Alfredia Horman (Rottmann) I was a first cousin of Clayton, even though many miles separated us we have kept in contact throughout the years over the phone. I sure will miss him he was a special cousin. My husband Paul and I extend our sincere sympathy to the family.

What a wonderful man. We shared many laughs over his horses and his dog. Going to miss bringing you a maple bar on Fridays. You will be missed Clayton. A class act. Heaven is lucky to have you and I am proud to have known you over the years. Rest in peace my friend.

Clayton was quite the horse rider and gentleman, and we sure loved seeing him here in our park, riding our trails and sharing his stories about the early days of Bogart Park and our surrounding area. He always kept a look-out for our forest, watching for campfires that could blaze up, keeping an eye out for our bears and checking with us when he hadn't seen them in a while. He rode expertly and with such enthusiasm, and had so many friends in our equestrian and park community. He will be missed, and thought of with many smiles.

To Clayton's Family: How I will miss our Friday morning coffee and donuts , at Sunrise Estates, without Clayton. He also was a protector of us woman when he needed to be. Always had a funny story, with that twinkle in his eye, to tell about his life and horses. I have missed Raven and the other in the I will miss seeing Clayton. So hard to believe that he will not be at our Friday table, nor will I catch him in the horse area in the field across Wilson St. Such a gentleman he was. One of our Residents, who is English, always said that he looked like a real cowboy. Rest in Peace my friend and keep getting on the horse and ride into the Sunset. To his family I wish that your many happy memories will help to sustain you during this unbelievable time. God Bless you. Clayton...many are missing you.
