Davy Lee Crawford

Davy Lee Crawford was born December 4, 1930 in Evansville Indiana. He passed away February 14, 2018 in Cherry Valley California. Davy spent his early years living with his mother and his grandparents in Evansville. He often recalled fond memories of his wonderful mother and his loving grandparents. In the middle of the 9th grade he decided that he was better suited for work and not for school, so he headed out to conquer the world. In 1949 he met his first wife Bessie and they married that same year. Davy heard the call to go west and they moved to Redondo Beach Ca. and there Davy found work in the aerospace industry as a machinist. The Crawford's eventually settled in Cherry Valley Ca. In 1972. In August of 2000 Bessie passed away, they were happily married for 51 years. In the year 2001 Davy met & married his second wife Barbara who he loved very dearly. One of the things he loved to do was to sit in his chair next to Barbara and hold her hand, this gave him great comfort & joy. He is preceded in death by his parents Delmar and Louise Crawford, his first wife Bessie and daughter-in-law Teresa Murphy. He leaves behind his wife of 17 years Barbara; he was more than a father to Gregory and Jeannie Echols and to his son-in-law and daughter-in-law Tony and Andrea Murphy. The Grandchildren; Thomas, Matthew, Leslie, Tonalea, Samantha, Nick, Joy, Jacqueline, Steven, Donald, Tony Jr., and Andrew. His has 15 Great-grandchildren + 1 on the way. Davy will always be in our hearts.
