Donovan P. Chapparosa

Donovan Peter Chapparosa, passed away on January 26, 2016 at San Gorgonio Memorial Hospital in Banning. Donovan was born in Arlington, California on January 23, 1955. He was married to his wife of 41 years where they resided in Banning.

Donovan retired from the City of Banning, Water Department after 20 years.

He is preceded in death by his parents, George & Caroline Chapparosa; brother and sister, Dimitri and Debra Chapparosa.

He is survived by his wife, Rita; son, Donovan Chapparosa, Jr., daughters, Dawn & Angel Chapparosa; grandchildren, Michael & Damian Mariscal, Anthony Contreras, Donovan Chapparosa III, Christian Chapparosa & Ella Chapparosa; sisters, Ernestine & Audrey Chapparosa and brother, Eric Chapparosa.

Donovan was a member of the “Los Coyotes Tribe” in San Diego County. He loved playing his guitar everyday with his favorite artist the “Beatles” and many other artists. Donovan also had a band with his cousins called, “The Tribesmen”. His family and many, many friends will miss him.

Visitation will be held Thursday, February 4, 2016 at 4 p.m. at Weaver’s Mortuary in Beaumont. Rosary will be held at 7:00 p.m. Service will be held on Friday, February 5, 2016 at 10 a.m. at Saint Kateri Tekakwitha Catholic Church in Banning following burial at San Gorgonio Memorial Park in Banning.
