Duane Allen Searcy

Duane Allen Searcy was born on March 12, 1972, in Glendora, California, to Jerry and Helen Searcy. He passed away on September 19, 2026, at the age of 54, in Redlands, California. Duane was a resident of Banning, California for 14 years.

Duane attended school in Pomona and La Verne and graduated from Bonita High School in 1990.

Duane was a longtime Notre Dame football fan and a Duke basketball fan, and he especially enjoyed watching their games on television. Growing up, soccer was his favorite sport, and he was an excellent player himself. Above all, Duane loved his daughter, Megan, and was deeply grateful to have been able to hold his granddaughter, Miley. He also dearly loved his cats, Lily and Lucky.

Throughout his life, Duane was known for his kindness and generosity, and for the sincere care he showed to those less fortunate. During his long illness, he met his circumstances with steady fortitude and formed many meaningful friendships at the infusion center where he received treatment. He will be greatly missed by family and friends.

Duane is survived by his Parents Helen and Jerry Searcy, daughter, Megan Twarowki (Michael); his sister, Sheri Gruett (Scott); his niece, Krista Gruett (Scotty); his granddaughter, Miley Twarowski; Grandnieces Kailee Langorica,Korttnee Gruett and his cats, Lily and Lucky. He was proceeded in death by his grandparents, Otto and Naomi Searcy, and Alfred and Virginia Hummer.

A Graveside Service will be held on October 15, 2026, at 10:00 am, at San Gorgonio Memorial Park, 2201 N. San Gorgonio Ave., Banning, CA 92220.
