Edward Bryant went home to the Lord on May 30, 2025. He was born to Rice and Betsy Bryant on September 29, 1939, in Houlka, Mississippi. He was the seventh in a family of eight children. At the young age of 17 he enlisted in the United States Marine Corp. After 21 years, he retired as a Captain.
He went on to open BryBar’s Upholstery in Joshua Tree, California. During his time in Joshua Tree, he was involved in the Chamber of Commerce and Turtle Days. He was a long-time member of the Joshua Tree VFW, Sportsman Club, and Rotary. He later moved back to Mississippi to care for his mother and sister. For over 20 years, Ed loved being a full time RVer.
Enjoying traveling and Square Dancing all over the country. He then settled in Alabama with his wife Peggy. After her passing, he moved back to the California desert. He enjoyed his church, Calvary Christian Fellowship in Flamingo Heights, and taco Wednesday at the JT VFW.
Ed was preceded in death by his parents, wife Peggy, daughter Sandra, five brothers and a sister.
He is survived by his sister, Betty McTune of Tupelo, MS, children Teresa (Dennis) Tidwell of Jasper, AL, Michael (April) Bryant of Yucca Valley, CA, Jeffrey (Crissy) Bryant of Fort Worth, TX, Lisa (Rocky) Hoehn of Dallas, GA, Dana (Jerry) Gordon of Brookwood, AL, Steve Murphy of Orange Beach, AL, Tara Erbeck of Ladson, SC, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
