Gerald Paul Wallace (Jerry) was born on March 18, 1935, in Calipatria, California, to John and Lucille Wallace. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Jack Wallace. Jerry passed away at the age of 91 on September 3, 2026, in Banning, California.
Jerry made his home in Banning, California. Over the course of a steady and dedicated working life, he was employed by Southern California Edison Gas Company for 35 years, a long tenure that reflected his reliability and commitment.
Jerry was married to Wanda Wallace for 58 years. Wanda preceded him in death. He is survived by his children, Cynthia Baltazar and Deborah Wallace (Dayna); his grandchildren, Ryan Baltazar and Brianna Tambe (Giuseppe); and his great-grandchild, Maximus Tambe.
Jerry found genuine enjoyment in the simple, lasting pleasures of lifetime with family, travel, and the camaraderie of friends. He especially enjoyed golf, including many rounds shared with friends, and in recent years took quiet pleasure in watching the golfers on the course outside his dining room window. He also looked forward to traveling, including annual trips to Carlsbad, California. A constant comfort and companion to him was his beloved cat, Bella.
Jerry was connected to the Beaumont Presbyterian community.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, in keeping with Jerry’s wishes.
