
Henry was born in Trujillo, New Mexico in 1939 to Rafael and Tomasita Lucero. He was the 4th child of eleven children. He grew up in Brighton, Colorado. In his late teens he moved to California where he learned the carpentry trade. He was a construction superintendent building many commercial and residential buildings, He retired in 2005 where he and his wife, Stella, moved to Solera Retirement Village in Beaumont, CA.
Henry was preceded in death by his parents, and 7 siblings. He is survived by his wife, Stella, his children Sheila Lucero, Jeff Lucero, 3 stepchildren, 12 grandchildren, and 12 great-grandchildren.
Henry enjoyed gardening, tinkering around the house, helping neighbors with household problems. He loved dancing and traveling where he and his wife took many cruises and trips through various countries. He was witty and made people laugh. He was an honorable and stand-up man and the best husband, father, and grandfather to his and Stella's children.
A Memorial Service will be held at Weaver Mortuary & Crematory, 1177 BEAUMONT AVE, BEAUMONT, CA 92223, US, on August 17, 2026, from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm.
