Ida Tucker

Ida Mae Tucker peacefully went to be with her Lord on March 28, 2023 at the age of 102. She passed away at Cherry Valley Healthcare in Banning, CA where she had been a resident for the last five years. Previously, she lived in Hemet, CA.

Ida was born in Santa Ana, CA on October 25, 1920 to Alfred Floyd Barnes and Ruby Esther (Leslie) Barnes. She was the third of eight children. She attended Sierra Madre School. After school, she married Thurman L. “Tom” Tucker and worked mainly as a housewife. After moving to Hemet, Ida became a member of Crossroads Baptist Church.

Ida was loved and is survived by one daughter Jama and two sisters, Alma and Betty. She is also survived by 19 grandchildren, 53 great grandchildren, and 83 great, great grandchildren.

Ida was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and children Sharon, Janet, and Tom. She also was preceded by her sisters, Lula, Helen, and Esther, and her brothers, Alfred and Jimmy and her grandchildren, Bryan, Kenny, and Bonnie.

Services for Ida will be held at Weaver Mortuary Chapel in Beaumont, CA on April 14, 2023 with a visitation beginning at 9:00 AM, followed by the funeral at 10:00 AM. Burial will follow at Mountain View Cemetery in Beaumont. All services will be presided by Rev. Kirk Beard from Crossroads Baptist Church in Hemet.

Ida will be missed by her surviving loved ones and we look forward to being reunited with her in heaven. "But I do not want you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning those who have fallen asleep, lest you sorrow as others who have no hope." - 1 Thessalonians 4:13 NKJV.
