Jim and Larry had been friends of ours for over 30 years. Even though different in personalities they worked well as a team in anything they decided to accomplish. Jim lived on to live an outgoing positive life with lots of different adventures including spending much time in Puerto Vallarta, I guess his 3rd home. He was a great cook and loved his social life and we always want Jim around us. We miss his smile and love of live very much. Craig Holmes & Jim Tarpley

Jim was such a kind person I truely enjoyed the time I knew him, one story I loved was how his mother made fried chicken just like my mom and her mom did you put the chicken piece in a brown paper bag with the flour and shock the bag to coat the chicken.

A true gentleman and it was a pleasure for me to get to know him. He was always the most likeable fellow in the room. I shall miss seeing and visiting with him. I hope his journey will continue and be as exciting as those is this life.

Anyone who knew you was inescapably charmed by your unique humor and unfailing kindness.  You Loved unconditionally and you trusted implicitly.  You inspired us to be better persons.  It is a given that those of us who Love you will miss you terribly, but how were we to know that your special energy and spirit had contributed so much to our own until it was no longer there? 
Sail on, dear man, in your usual grand style.

Jim we did not know you as well as we would have like to, however we have very pleasant memories of talking to you primarily at the monthly BBB. These monthly birthday celebrations were a time when we got together with others that we did not see on a regular basis and that included you. You were always such a pleasure to talk to whether about one of your many trips you made or about asking about how we were and what we were doing. Your 'southern gentleman' accent was just great to listen to and gentleman also applied to, we felt, your real character as a person. Your friends lost a very dear person.
