Joann Marie Quigley, 94, passed May 25, 2026. Born October 22, 1931, in Minneapolis, Minnesota, Joann was the daughter of Della and Simon Barnhardt and spent 20 years in a loving home alongside her parents, three brothers, and three sisters.
On April 7, 1951, Joann married Gerald Quigley. She joined Jerry at Ft. Leonardwood, Missouri, until he went overseas. In the years that followed, Joann devoted herself to raising their children, Della and Michael, in Whittier, cherishing that season of life and the daily joys it brought.
Joann has five wonderful grandchildren: Ryan Quigley, Evan Quigley, Conrad Moore, Sarah Moore, and Nolan Moore; and a great-grandson, Cooper Moore.
Joann gave generously of her time in service to others, volunteering at St. Mary’s Church in Whittier, Indian Maidens, Cub Scouts, and Little League—steady commitments that reflected a deep sense of care for family, faith, and community.
In 1990, Joann and Jerry retired to Sun Lakes Country Club in Banning, where she found companionship and enjoyment in Bunco, Bocce, and the Art League. Throughout her life, she held close the many relatives and friends she dearly loved, valuing connection and kindness in the ways that mattered most.
