John Joseph Close better know as "Holy Joe" went to heaven with Our Almighty Lord last November 14, 2012. Joe entered life in Band Bridge, Northern Ireland on December 2, 1927 and passed thru transition at his residence in Sun Lakes Country Club in his sleep.
Joe was with the Teamster Union and helped lots of working people. Since moving to Banning from Los Angeles, he was with the AA for several years until his last day on this earth.
Joe is survived by his beloved wife, Trona; two sisters, Marilyn and Shiela; beloved cousin Maisie and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service was held at Weaver Mortuary, Beaumont, California and a reception followed at the Potrero Canyon Buffet in Morongo Casino Resort and Spa, Cabazon, California, both of which were attended by several family members and friends.
His special words to all of us "God Loves You and I Love You Too" He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Arrangements were entrusted to Weaver Mortuary, Beaumont, California.
