

Jose Flores Huerta, 90, passed away on Monday, March 28, 2016 at his home in Banning, California. He was born April 8, 1925 in Jalisco, Mexico to Ramon & Maria Huerta. Jose has been a resident of Banning since 1969 and previously he had resided in Indio for 19 years. For most of his life, Jose, was a foreman for Shields Ranch and a sheet metal worker from which he retired after 20 years of service. Jose always loved gardening and spending time with his wife and family. He enjoyed sharing the truth of his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and he was a dedicated member of the Apostolic Church.
Jose is survived by his wife of 66 years, Angela Huerta of Banning; daughters, Ophelia Duran of Redlands, Rose & Craig Walker of Santa Monica and Elsa & David Sain of Banning; 6 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren. Jose is preceded in death by his daughter, Hilda Estrada of Banning; granddaughter, Emma Cothran of Banning; sister, Antonia Benitez of Mexico; parents, Ramon & Maria Huerta of Mexico.
A visitation is scheduled for Friday, April 1, 2016 at 10:00 am with a funeral service to follow at 11:00 am both at Weaver Mortuary, 1177 Beaumont Avenue, Beaumont, CA 92223. A graveside service will follow at the San Gorgonio Memorial Park in Banning, California.
