

Joseph Newton Kirklin passed away at his home in Sun City, California July 11, 2015. He was born December 14, 1924 in Englewood, Colorado to Godly parents David Bryant and Virgie Ure (Wiggleton) Kirklin.
Joseph grew up in the small town of Englewood, Colorado and attended school there thru grade school. The family moved to Lake Elsinore, California after David and Virgie divorced. Joseph served in the U.S. Army from 1943 until his honorable discharge in 1946. He served with the 17th Airborne Unit and received the Purple Heart.
Joseph married Marjorie Stowell in 1946 and together they had two children, William Edward "Butch" and Linda. They divorced in 1949. Joseph joined the LA Sheriff's Department for three years before joining the Riverside County State Forestry Fire Department. He later joined the Riverside County Sheriff's Department. Joseph went into Real Estate in Beaumont, California in 1994. He was known as "The Landman". Joseph then joined Wackenhut Security and worked for them 20 years before his retirement in 2012. On July 24, 1986 Joseph married Aileen Elva Cowles.
Joseph is survived by his wife Aileen, his son William Edward "Butch" and his daughter Linda. He is also survived by 4 step-children, 9 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren.
Visitation 11:30am Wednesday, July 15, 2015 and Funeral Service 12:30pm Wednesday, July 15, 2015 both at Weaver Mortuary, 1177 Beaumont Avenue, Beaumont, California. Graveside services 2:00pm Wednesday, July 15, 2015 at Desert Lawn Memorial Park, 11251 Desert Lawn Drive, Calimesa, California. Military honors provided by the u. S. Army.
Arrangements were entrusted to Weaver Mortuary, Beaumont, California.
