

Lloyd J. Dumas, 85 years old, went to heaven on November 17, 2011. He was born in St Clair, MI on March 31, 1926 and grew up in Port Huron, MI. A long time resident of Riverside County, Mr. Dumas found his final home to be in Banning, CA at Sun Lakes, with his beloved wife of 63 years, Virginia. He is survived by son Ronny Dumas and his wife Brenda, and daughter Brenda Hoppe, along with 2 grandchildren; "Kimbo" and Chris Dumas and great-granddaughter Aubry. He is preceded in death by his parents and brothers Don and Fred, and sister Olive. Surviving sisters are Aileen, Mary Lou (and Cal) and Geraldine(and Vincent).
In 1953 Mr. Dumas decided to head West for a better life for his family. Along with his wife, he built a janitorial business, Accurate Janitor Service in Riverside. He conducted business in Riverside, San Bernardino, and Orange Counties. He was a member of the Magnolia Center Exchange Club, Victoria Country Club, Elks Club, the Merchant Marine, and Bahia Corinthian Yacht Club in Newport Beach.
Mr. Dumas was known for the huge American flag in his front yard and astroturf lawn with putting green. He was a car enthusiast and enjoyed participating in local events and parades. He always had a joke to tell and a smile on his face.
He and his wife vacationed in Hawaii, Italy, Las Vegas, Holland, and other beautiful destinations. They enjoyed many years of traveling in their motorhome. Mr. and Mrs Dumas had the American Dream. He will be forever in the hearts of his loved ones.
