Matthew J. Dalton

Matthew John Dalton, 42, of Banning, California passed away on Tuesday, October 18th, 2016 near Willits, California while on a trip with his son. He is survived by his children Matthew Charles Dalton, twin daughters Megan and Emilee Dalton and the children’s mother, Jennifer Tucker of Yucaipa, California; mother Faith Scarite of Beaumont, California; father Frank Dalton of Las Vegas, Nevada; sister Amber Man of Yucaipa, California and many aunts, uncles, cousins, a niece and nephew. He also leaves behind a “self-adopted” brother Maurice Lyons and the woman he loved, Adina Jameson.

Matt had a large extended “family” within the Kansas City Barbeque Society. He was the Pit Master for Left Coast Q, an award winning, top rated competition barbeque team. He eventually led the team to capture the title of the #1 (Best) team in the State of California which was one of the highlights of his life. However, he was prouder of his kids than he was of any trophy he won on the barbeque circuit.

An open casket visitation will take place on Thursday, October 27th from 6:00 – 8:30pm at Weaver’s Mortuary in Beaumont, Ca and a Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, October 28th at 10:00am at St. Frances X-Cabrini Catholic Church in Yucaipa, Ca with interment service at San Gorgonio Memorial Cemetery in Banning, California, immediately following the funeral.
