Melvin Owen Dodge, age 78, of Cherry Valley, California passed away on Wednesday, August 4, 2021. Melvin was born January 2, 1943. Melvin was a Cherry Valley resident for 18 years and had previously lived in Las Vegas, NV.
He worked for Union Pacific Railroad for 35 years. Melvin loved cruising, hot air ballooning and golf.
Melvin is survived by his wife, Wanda Dodge; his daughter Amanda Dodge (Vic) of Prosser, Washington; his daughter Cindy Lupfer (Nick) of Lakewood, Colorado; his son James Dodge (Teresa) of Las Vegas, Nevada; and his daughter Elena Arend (Kurt) of Las Vegas, Nevada; 12 Grandchildren and 6 Great-Grandchildren; his brother John Dodge of Virginia, his brother Ted Dodge of Utah and his sister Faye Nix of Virginia.
Melvin was preceded in death by his son John Dodge of California; his father Melvin O. Poulsen of Utah; his mother F. Elaine Harris of La Habra.
A memorial for Melvin will be held Saturday, August 21, 2021 at 10:00 AM at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter- Day Saints, 6140 West Wilson, Banning, California 92220.
