Miguel "Mike" Contreras, also known as Diablo, was a beloved member of the Beaumont community. Mike was known for his close relationship with his sisters, Liz, Patty, and Maria, and his late brother-in-law, Nick Espinoza. He also had a strong bond with his other brother-in-law, Mario Rojas, and his older brother-in-law, Victor Dominguez. Then, Mike true to his nature welcomes his latest brother in law Jose Castillo.
Mike, particularly enjoyed watching NFL games, with the San Francisco 49ers being his favorite team. Mike's dedication to his work as a diligent gardener was greatly appreciated by his customers.
Mike was known for his outgoing personality and was often seen surrounded by beautiful women. He had a way of making people laugh with his entertaining relationship stories. However, the greatest joy in Mike's life came from his relationship with Dawn and the birth of their son, Anthony Contreras. He cherished Anthony with all his heart, even as he navigated the journey of fatherhood and learned how to be the best father he could be. Mike had a special ability to light up a room with his laughter, smiles, and genuine spirit that people truly loved. Mike, a valiant individual, faced the challenges of esophageal cancer head-on. Upon learning of his diagnosis, he embarked on a journey of self-reflection, contemplating his own mortality and pondering the "would haves," "should haves," and "could haves." Yet, amidst it all, his true character radiated. Mike fought with unwavering determination, enduring surgeries, treatments, and pain, he drew strength from his faith in the Lord. His resilience was a testament to the deep love he held for his mother, Teresa, his sisters Liz, Patty, and Maria. Through their unwavering care and support, a small miracle unfolded within them. In their constant presence, Mike felt the boundless love that fueled his spirit, leading him towards peace and solace in the embrace of his Lord and Creator. As his journey drew to a close, Mike embraced the full spectrum of human emotion. He found peace in the simple joys of a good movie, heartfelt conversations, laughter, and tears. Like a true warrior, he laid down his sword. In the end, Mike's laughter, and tears, were a testament to a life well-lived and a soul deeply connected to the divine. Throughout it all, Mike never lost his sense of humor, his infectious smile, or his willingness to crack one last joke. He found the lords love in his faith and, in the end, that's what truly mattered to him. Mike will be forever missed.
A celebration of life for Miguel will be held Friday, June 7, 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Weaver Mortuary & Crematory, 1177 Beaumont Ave, Beaumont, CA. A graveside to follow will occur at Mountain View Cemetery, 1315 Edgar Ave, Beaumont, CA. A reception will occur Friday, June 7, 2024 at 2:00 PM at Noble Creek Community Center, 390 W Oak Valley Parkway, Beaumont, CA.
