Nancy Ann Closson

Nancy Ann Closson was born June 13, 1929 to James C. Gilchrist and Arrah V. Gilchrist in Pocahontus, Iowa. She was the 11th of 16 children, she had 8 brothers and 7 sisters. Nancy passed from this life on Friday, June 1, 2012, in Banning, California at the age of 82. Nancy moved to California, where she had 4 children that she raised for the most part as a single mother. Later in life she worked for Kwikset where she proudly retired. She also worked for K-Mart.

Nancy is survived by her 4 daughters; Joanne Dill and Duane Dill of Banning, California and their family of 12, Judy Prior and Bruce Prior of Johnstown, Colorado and their family of 6, Debora Penman and Roby Penman of Cleveland, Oklahoma and their family of 10 and Diane Closson of Broomfield, Colorado and her family of 3. Nancy had 8 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren. Nancy was preceded in daeth by her parents and several siblings. Nancy's wishes were to be cremated. Private family services will be held Sunday, June 10, 2012 at 1:00 PM.

Arrangements were entrusted to Weaver Mortuary, Beaumont, California.
