Phyllis Marylyn Mutschler

Phyllis graduated from Ashley High School in 1944 and attended college in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. She was proud of her Midwest heritage.

In 1948 she married the love of his life Henry (Hank) Otto Mutschler of Eureka, South Dakota. They relocated to Southern California to live, work and raise their family.

Phyllis’s joy in life was her family. She devoted herself to mentoring and guiding her family in every way she could. She loved to entertain and opened her home to many friends and relatives throughout her lifetime. A loving and kind person, she loved when the house was filled with family, friends, food, music and laughter.

She is survived by her son’s Richard (Leslie) Mutschler, Patti A. Chappell and Jim (Sue) Mutschler. She was preceded in death by her son Steven C. Mutschler and husband Hank. She is grandmother to Leigh (Ron) Ten Berge, Shannon (Dennis) Dunham and, Lauren (Keith) Lewis and great grandmother to: Kyle, Amanda, Megan, Jenny, Bryn and Ryan.

Services will be held on Monday, July 1, 2013, in the Chapel at Weaver Mortuary, 1177 Beaumont Ave., Beaumont, CA 92223, In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to San Gorgonio Memorial Hospital (Building Fund) 600 N. Highland Springs Ave., Banning, CA 92220
