Raull Butcher

Raull James Butcher often called "Butch" passed away unexpectedly in his home on 9/20/19 in the city of Beaumont, Ca. He was 66 years old.

Raull was born in Los Angeles to Lennox and Mary Butcher on 11/27/1952 where he attended St Agnes Catholic School and later attended classes in college. He had a successful career working as a Prop maker building sets for the Motion Picture Industry.

He worked at Universal Studios where he cut and helped install all of the glass in all of the buildings as well as working television and movie sets. He also worked for Sony, Paramount and Fox studios. Raull retired 4 years ago.

Raull had many passions which included spending a lot of his free time in the casinos indulging in his favorite card game "Black Jack" in which he lost most of the time. He had a great passion for 2 music artist which were " Prince and " The Dave Matthews Band". He seemed to worship " Prince " so much that he tried to dance and dress like him; wearing his 2 inch Moreschi boots.

He also like " Elvis" and between the two with the boots and wearing his shirt collar straight up ; he created his own unique style.

Raull was also an avid reader who loved crime stories and always had a book in his hand wherever he went. His favorite artist were truly Harlan Coben and Michael Connelly. Raull also enjoyed watching his golf favorite "Tiger Woods" and his daily political shows.

He was always an admirer of President Obama. Lastly, he really enjoyed traveling to the Caribbean where he was fortunate to have seen the most beautiful beaches in the world. He lately ended a 2 week trip to the Grand Cayman Islands 5 days before his passing.

Raull was full of character, loved life and always thought he was the funny one in the family. Raull with truly be missed by all that loved him.

He is survived by his spouse Didi of the last 16 years, his sons Miles, Jeron and Brandon; his stepsons Charles and Lucien, his sister Monika and brother Tony; his daughter Tasha and grandchildren Zariah, Persia, Penelope and D'joire.

A celebration of life for Raull will be held Friday, September 27, 2019 at 11:00 AM at Weaver Mortuary, 1177 Beaumont Ave, Beaumont, California 92223. A reception to follow will occur Friday, September 27, 2019 at 12:00 PM, 1177 Beaumont Ave, Beaumont, California 92223. A cremation will occur.
