Raymond Charles Davis, Jr., 85, died Sunday, March 26, 2012 at Braswells Hampton-Manor in Yucaipa, California. He leaves behind his wife of 47 years, Bette A. Davis, his daughter, Joane Marie Davis, son, Jack Allen Davis and many close and dear family and friends. Born and raised in New London, CT, Ray joined the Marine Corp with his twin brother, Don Davis in 1945. He spent five years in the Marine Corp, two of which were in the Philippines and received the rank of Sergeant. He met his wife, Bette, while working at La Sierra University and they were married June 16, 1963. A truly talented harmonica player from the age of eight, he loved the out-of-doors, the ocean, believed in working hard. He loved the Lord, his family and his country with all his heart and soul.
Funeral services Saturday, April 7, 2012, at 3:00 PM, at Weaver Hughes Mortuary, 33629 Yucaipa Blvd, Yucaipa, California. Private burial at Riverside National Cemetery, Riverside, California.
Arrangements were entrusted to Weaver Mortuary, Beaumont, California.
