Reilly was born November 26, 1928 in Winnepeg, Manitoba to John and Mary Allen. In October, 1957 he married Joan Bauml of Marysburg, Saskatchewan, and they relocated to Los Angeles. He began his career in banking with Morris Plan, and in 1965 moved to Union Bank where he worked for 25 years and rose to the position of senior vice president.
In 2002, Reilly and Joan moved to Sun Lakes adult community where he was involved with golf, bowling, bocce and many other activities. He loved Sun Lakes. Affectionately known as "Pop" by his family, Reilly was an avid sports fan. He especially loved hockey and watched his favorite team, the Los Angeles Kings, win their first Stanley Cup in June, 2012. Reilly will be fondly remembered for his great sense of humor and kind heart. He is predeceased by his parents, John and Mary, brothers John and Paul, and sisters Patricia and Kathleen. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Joan, his children Theresa, Maureen, Paul and James, and his grandchildren Daniel, Jessica, Sean, Brian, Lauren, Mary Claire and Reilly, daughter-in-law, Julie and granddaughter-in-law Diane.
Services will be held on Tuesday, August 14, 2012, at Blessed Kateri Tekakwitha Catholic Church,1234 Palm Avenue, Beaumont, California - Rosary at 10:00 a.m.; Mass at 10:30 a.m. Reception to follow in church hall.
